Continued strong opposition to allocation of post-Brexit tariff quotas

29/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – Hostility to the allocation of tariff quotas between the EU and the post-Brexit United Kingdom remains strong at the World Trade Organization (see EUROPE B12203A23). On Tuesday 28 May, in the WTO Market Access Committee, several key EU partners, including the United States, China and Russia, once again protested against the method of allocating these quotas, according to a source in Geneva.
