EIB provides €73.5 million loan to modernise urban bus fleet in Barcelona

29/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Investment Bank (EIB) has provided a loan of €73.5 million to help Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) bring 254 new urban buses into operation between the end of 2019 and 2021. The buses will mainly be hybrid electric vehicles that are safer, cleaner and more modern than the current fleet. The agreement between the EIB and TMB was signed in Barcelona on 28 May.
