06/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – The question of a second referendum on Brexit is obviously not buried in Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party, with some of the elected officials continuing to press for it - The Guardian reported Sunday evening, May 5. The party leadership had issued conditions last week for a second referendum or popular confirmation vote, but some Labour MPs and even two-thirds of them would now be ready to condition their support for the draft agreement currently being sought by Mr Corbyn and Prime Minister Theresa May on this second referendum, even though Ms May, according to the newspaper, made clear concessions to them about the Customs Union. The British media also reported, on Monday 6 May, secret discussions between Mrs May and Mr Corbyn on the subject of a second referendum. (SP)
