25/03/2019 (Agence Europe) – The EU expressed its outrage on Sunday 24 March at the attack in central Mali the previous day, which killed 134 civilians. “The massacre of more than 130 people [...] and the destruction of the Fulani village of Ogossagou [...] have aroused the Union's utmost indignation”, said the spokeswoman of the European External Action Service, expressing the EU's condolences. This situation calls for “immediate measures to ensure the security and protection of the population [...] in particular through the disarmament and dismantling of all militias”. Urging “the authorities to conduct a full investigation into these abuses”, the EU assures that it and the international community “stand by Mali in supporting the government's efforts for security, stability and the redeployment of the State and basic services”.
