EU pledges two thirds of €8.3 billion in aid announced at conference in support of Syria and region

The third Brussels Ministerial Conference ‘Supporting the future of Syria and the region’ ended on Thursday, 14 March with a success, in terms of expressing international solidarity with the Syrian population and refugee host communities, said the UN and the EU, as co-chairs (see EUROPE B12210A17).

Pledges for humanitarian aid and resilience collectively total €6.2 billion for 2019 and €2.37 billion for 2020 and beyond, announced the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis...
