Detailed guidance for Commissioners participating in European Parliament elections

On Wednesday 6 February the European Commission unanimously approved the guidelines drawn up by its President, Jean-Claude Juncker, to guide the actions of Commissioners who campaign for the European Parliament elections in May. 

Any Commissioner participating in the election campaign, such as Vice-Presidents Frans Timmermans and Valdis Dombrovskis, shall: - inform President Juncker of their intention to present themselves as a candidate; - ensure institutional continuity by regularly...
