Austria's action against a German charge for use of motorway network must be dismissed, according to Advocate General

In his Opinion of Wednesday 6 February in Case C-591/17, Advocate General Nils Wahl of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) considers that German law providing for exemption from German motor vehicle tax for owners of vehicles registered in Germany, the amount of which corresponds to the amount of the motorway fee, does not constitute discrimination on grounds of nationality.
