08/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 8 January, the EU Council requested the European Parliament's approval of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and Singapore, signed on 19 October 2018 (see EUROPE 12121). In its decision, the Council states that the agreement " aims to serve as a basis for a more effective bilateral engagement of the Union and its Member States towards Singapore, by strengthening cooperation and dialogue on a wide range of bilateral, regional and multilateral issues ".
