European Parliament ready to negotiate with Council on management of small pelagic stocks in Adriatic Sea

On Tuesday 13 November, the European Parliament adopted its position on the management plan for small pelagic stocks caught in the Adriatic Sea (see EUROPE 12114). 

The European Commission's proposal was amended by Parliament, which adopted (342 votes in favour, 295 against and 24 abstentions) the report by Mrs Ruža Tomašić (ECR, Croatia). Parliament now has its mandate to negotiate with the Council, which has not yet adopted its position.
