Work Life Balance Directive, Germany takes an inflexible position

13/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – According to several European sources consulted in recent days, interinstitutional negotiations (trilogue) on the Work Life Balance Directive have been slowed down (see EUROPE 12132) due in particular to Germany's attitude. The Member State would greatly reduce the margins for manoeuvre of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU. Berlin asks to be as close as possible to the general orientation. Germany would not wish to introduce paid paternity leave...
