12/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – Romanian President Klaus Iohannis is concerned about the level of preparedness of his country, which will assume the Presidency of the Council of the EU in the first half of 2019, following the confirmed resignation of Romanian Minister for European Affairs Victor Negrescu. From 1 January 2019, Romania will take up this "extremely honourable position, a very demanding position", and, in my opinion, "we are not ready for this", he told a crowd of Romanian municipalities on Monday 12 November. "It is not clear any more who is responsible for what at the government and people who have to deal with European matters are leaving or being dismissed, and this is how we wake up at the last minute, totally unprepared", he added.
