12/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – Two new crossing points between the Greek Cypriot side and the Turkish Cypriot side opened on Monday 12 November. The crossing points between Lefka/Aplici (north-west) and Dherynia/Derinya (east) are the 8th and 9th crossing points and the first to be opened in 8 years. Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akıncı announced on 26 October their agreement to open these two new crossing points (see EUROPE 12126). (CG)
