11/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 10 September, the European Parliament announced the heads of state or government who will address plenary on the future of the European Union between now and the end of the legislative period. To follow the Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, this Tuesday (see other article), the following will speak: - the Estonian Prime Minister, Jüri Ratas (October plenary session I); - the Romanian President, Klaus Iohannis (October II); - the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel (November session in Strasbourg); - the Danish Prime Minister, Lokke Rasmussen (November mini-plenary in Brussels); - the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez (December plenary); - the Czech Prime Minister, Andrej Babis (January plenary); - the Finnish Prime Minister, Juha Sipila (January mini-plenary). In total, 16 European leaders will have debated the future of the EU with the MEPs before the European elections of May 2019. (CG)
