MEPs approve aid of €34 million following natural disasters in four member states

29/08/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 29 August, the committee on budgets of the European Parliament approved the disbursement of aid of €34 million to support reconstruction efforts in Greece, Poland, Lithuania and Bulgaria, following natural disasters in 2017. This aid, under the EU Solidarity Fund, earmarks €16.9 million for Lithuania (rain and flooding), €12.2 million for Poland (violent storms) and €2.2 million for Bulgaria.
