In a resolution adopted in Strasbourg on Thursday 5 July, the European Parliament condemns the violations to the freedom of expression committed by non-state and state actors in Somalia. It also says it is concerned at the arrest of political opponents and peaceful critics in Somalia.
The Parliament asks for an end to be brought to the violations of human rights, which are rife and which particularly target women, children and minorities.
