American Jack Smith appointed new Specialist Prosecutor of Kosovo Specialist Prosecutor’s Office

07/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 7 May, the Specialist Chambers of Kosovo, based in the Hague in the Netherlands, announced the appointment of Jack Smith as the new Specialist Prosecutor (Chief Prosecutor) of the Kosovo Specialist Prosecutor’s Office (SPO).  Smith follows David Schwendiman, who vacated the position on 31 March 2018.  The SPO was established in September 2016 to carry out investigations into the allegations contained in the Marty report in January 2011 (see...
