In Sofia, EU financial policy-makers will discuss Banking Union, deepening of EMU and taxing digital sector

The European finance ministers will meet informally in Sofia on Friday 27th and Saturday 28 April. No significant breakthroughs are expected and the discussions will provide the opportunity to take stock of the completion of Banking Union and the deepening of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). It will also aim to “take temperatures” on recent Commission initiatives in the field of taxation.
