Commission proposes to use EGF to help former Air France workers back into employment

Following a request from France, the European Commission proposed on Monday 23 April that €9.8 million from the European globalisation adjustment fund (EGF) be made available to help 1,858 workers made redundant by Air France find new jobs.

Most of the redundancies are in the regions of Ile-de-France and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur where work for over-50s is particularly difficult to find. The EGF will co-finance measures that will help the former workers find new jobs, by providing them...
