Member states give green light to extend EGNOS to Ukraine

28/03/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 28 March, the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU (COREPER) approved the extension of the EGNOS programme to Ukraine. It should be recalled that EGNOS improves GPS navigation and positioning signals, particularly in Europe. This green light paves the way to negotiating an agreement on EGNOS with Ukraine that will help to introduce the necessary infrastructure for the programme.
