The annual inflation rate in the Eurozone and in the European Union fell by 0.1% in January 2018 compared to December 2017, to stand at 1.3% and 1.6% respectively, according to figures published by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Friday 23 February.
These figures are also lower than those recorded in January 2017, when the annual inflation rates were 1.8% in the Eurozone and 1.7% in the EU.
