The EU economy continued its “expansion” at a “robust and higher than expected pace”, particularly in terms of employment, with 236.3 million people in work in the EU, the highest level ever recorded, according to the review of employment and social development for the third quarter of 2017 published by the European Commission on Monday 12 February.
