EU hails release of political prisoners including opponent Merera Gudina

18/01/2018 (Agence Europe) – Following the release of over 400 political prisoners in Ethiopia, including opposition leader Merera Gudina, the EU has hailed this step forwards and the decision of the Ethiopian government to assign a task force to look into the possible extension of the measure to additional people.  These are "important steps in widening political space in Ethiopia", the spokesperson for the European External Action Service stated in a press release on Thursday 18...
