Eurozone annual inflation rate 1.4% in December 2017

05/01/2018 (Agence Europe) – The annual inflation rate in the eurozone in December 2017 was down by 0.1 points compared to the previous month (see EUROPE 11928), according to a flash estimate of the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat), published on Friday 5 January. Eurostat reports that energy prices saw the largest increase between December 2016 and December 2017, with an annual inflation rate up by 3% (down 1.7 points from November 2017).
