The advisory group on EU trade agreements, which was created by the European Commission at the end of December 2017, will meet for the first time in early February 2018.
The creation of this advisory group is one of several elements aiming to increase the transparency and inclusivity of EU trade policy, as the president of the Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, undertook to do in his state of the union speech 2017 of 13 September last year (see EUROPE 11861).
