The European Union and Armenia finalised their negotiations for creating a common airspace on the fringes of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels on Friday 24 November (see other article).
The agreement harmonises air safety and security rules in order to facilitate access to the market and support connectivity between the two sides. Procedures for formal signing and ratification of the agreement will now begin.
A similar agreement is expected to be reached shortly with Azerbaijan.
