The EU and the CARIFORUM countries decided at a meeting of their trade ministers in Brussels on Friday 17 November to set up a special committee overcome the difficulties encountered in the trade in services chapter of their economic partnership agreement.
The meeting, chaired jointly by Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström, Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser and Jamaican Foreign Minister Kamina Johnson Smith, assessed progress in the implementation of the agreement since July 2015.
