EGF support requested to help Greek and Finnish workers made redundant

23/10/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 23 October, the European Commission proposed €5.4 million from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to help former retail workers in Greece and Finland.  Greece will receive €2.9 million to help 725 former retail workers by providing them with job search guidance, vocational training and a contribution to business start-up.  In Finland, a €2.5 million envelope will be used to help 1,660 former employees at three companies.  It...
