European Commission asserts that EU citizens who are homeless in another member state does not prevent them from having right to residency

In a reply addressed to the European Parliament and published on Tuesday 19 September, the Commissioner for Justice, Věra Jourová, explained that directive 2004/38/EC on the free movement of European citizens within the EU did not give a member state the right to expel a homeless person from another member state due to the lack of a permanent or temporary residency and address on their territory.
