EU provides USA with satellite images to help Texas with Hurricane Harvey

European solidarity is at work to help the USA face the massive destruction from Hurricane Harvey, which is currently wreaking havoc in Texas.  In response to a request from the US authorities, the EU is now providing damage assessment maps to several areas affected by flooding in Texas, the European Commission announced on Wednesday 30 August.

The European Commission's 24/7 Emergency Response Coordination Centre has been in regular contact with the US Federal Emergency Management...
