21/08/2017 (Agence Europe) – On 7 August, the European Commission adopted a proposal to define the EU’s position for an additional two-year extension of the 1992 international agreement on sugar. The proposal seeks to extend this agreement until 31 December 2019. The extension involves maintaining the EU contribution to the administrative budget of the agreement (around €500,000 year). (LC)
