Commission publishes guidelines to improve safety of shopping online

In order to boost the safety of shopping online, which is becoming increasingly popular in the European Union, the European Commission published guidelines on Friday 28 July to help national market surveillance authorities control products sold online.

The guidelines were published the day after the publication of a 2017 scoreboard of consumer markets in Europe, which shows that online shopping has shot up over the past decade and is now used by 55% of Europeans for direct home deliveries...
