On Monday 24 July, the European Banking Authority (EBA) launched a public consultation on its planned regulatory and implementing technical standards for the electronic central information register in the framework of the revised 'Payment Services' directive (PSD2).
The register, to be managed by the EBA, will include information on payment and electronic currency establishments, account information service providers and their agents and branches authorised or registered in member states.
