28/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – The Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) signed an institutional partnership agreement at the end of last week, ahead of the launch of a "Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders (MedaWeek)" to be held in Barcelona, a press release states on Tuesday 27 June. The shared objective is "to contribute to the region’s economic development and integration, the promotion of public-private initiatives by the private sector to facilitate the flow of investments, and the increase of the Euro-Mediterranean region’s appeal in attracting investment in general". The two organisations are supported by the EU and benefit from its financial support. (FB)
