NGO's call for respect of human rights and minorities

30/05/2017 (Agence Europe) – The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN) is calling on Algeria to ensure a fair trial for minority rights activists.  In a press release dated Monday 29 May 2017, the organisation states that "the Algerian authorities should drop all charges against a leading activist and his 40 co-defendants that are based on their peaceful activism for the rights of the Amazigh, or Berber". Their detention started in July 2015, the press release states, and the...
