29/05/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 29 May, the Council of the EU adopted a decision authorising the signing of an agreement between the European Union and the United States on insurance and reinsurance (see EUROPE 11704). The agreement will provide legal certainty for the industry, notably on monitoring by home-country supervisors, and will improve protection for policyholders.
