The European Parliament resolution laying down red lines for Brexit (see EUROPE 11762) made no mention of sensitive issues like the future of Gibraltar and independence for Scotland, 50 MEPs from a number of political groupings have written to the Scottish Parliament indicating that the EU would be prepared to accept an independent Scotland as soon as possible.
