22/12/2016 (Agence Europe) – According to the results from the special Eurobarometer survey carried out this autumn, the respondents questioned from the 28 member states say that unemployment is the main challenge for the EU (45%), while 36% mention the fight against social inequalities and migration and 31% include security among their political priorities. Even though a majority of them (56%) think that their children will have a more difficult life than theirs, 66% consider Europe as an anchor of stability in a troubled world. Two thirds of people interviewed consider that political decisions should be taken at a European level to tackle terrorism, promote peace and protect the environment. Opinions remain divided, however about how to put a “two speed” Europe into place . (MB)
