Member states hail entry into force of stabilisation and association agreement

On Tuesday 13 December, member states hailed the entry into force of the stabilisation and association agreement (SAA) with Kosovo in April 2016(see EUROPE 11523), stating that it set the contractual framework in which the European Union and Kosovo are to step up their cooperation "without prejudice to member states' positions" on the country's status.
