Member state experts gave their support on Wednesday 30 November to a Commission proposal that beefs up the protective measures in relation to outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (subtype H5N8).
The countries affected have put in place strengthened biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
