02/11/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 9 November, the EU will launch the “MobiliseSME” cross-border mobility project, along the lines of the Erasmus programme for universities, for the staff of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The EU hopes in this way to make the participating companies more competitive, encourage cooperation and improve the employees’ language skills. European companies will be able to send their staff to work in a foreign company for between a fortnight and two months, or host a foreign worker for a similar length of time. Companies can twin up on a website, stating the type or person they are looking for and the duration of the exchange. This is pilot project will run from November 2016 to March 2017. (TR)
