EU institutions get €16 million more from 2016 budget to boost security

25/10/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 25 October, the European Parliament endorsed the Council’s backing for Draft Amending Budget Number 3 for the EU’s budget for 2016 concerning extra payment and commitment appropriations to boost security measures in EU institutions and European schools, following a number of attacks (see EUROPE 1644, 11584).  The amount requested is €15.8 million, financed without any new money but rather by redeploying appropriations from the ITER operational...
