26/09/2016 (Agence Europe) – Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Commissioner Christos Stylianides was in Turkey on Monday 26 September to take part in the launch of the Emergency Social Safety Net (ESSN) humanitarian aid programme for refugees in Turkey (see EUROPE 11619). The €348 million humanitarian programme is the biggest ever signed by the EU. The Commission estimates that between now and the first quarter of 2017, it will help one million refugees. (MB)
