19/09/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 19 September, the European Commission confirmed the recent announcement by its president, Jean-Claude Juncker, of the supply of €108 million in emergency funding to help Bulgaria control its border with Turkey more efficiently(see EUROPE 11626) - and border controls in general. The aid will also help finance the housing of refugees and boost the country’s asylum capabilities, explains a European Commission press release. (SP)
