28/07/2016 (Agence Europe) - Court endorses sanctions against 121 people and companies in Zimbabwe. The European Court of Justice has, in a ruling delivered on Thursday 28 July (C- 130/15P), confirmed the validity of the restrictive measures imposed by the EU in 2012 against 121 individuals and companies in Zimbabwe, as a result of serious human rights violations committed by the country's authorities. The Court has thus upheld the EU General Court's decision of April 2015 in its entirety (see EUROPE 11300). (JK)
