PSA group publishes its vehicle consumption in real driving conditions

Brussels, 06/07/2016 (Agence Europe) - Fuel consumption measured in 30 different models in vehicle brands such as Peugeot, Citroen and DS, in real driving conditions, was published on Wednesday 6 July, according to a joint press release from the car Manufacturing group PSA and the ONG T& E (Transport and Environment), which promotes sustainable transport. This is the first of its kind.

The PSA group is keeping its transparency promise it made in November 2015 during the full throes of the Volkswagen scandal (EUROPE 11438). The results published come from the protocol of tests defined with the T&E and France Nature Environnement, audited by the Véritas bureau. This protocol measures fuel consumption through portable equipment fitted to the vehicle. According to Gilles Le Borgne, the director of R&D at the PSA group, "The group will publish the results of an additional 20 models by the end of the year and will propose a simulation to enable customers to improve their fuel consumption depending on their use and subsequent CO2 emissions level".
