29/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU adopt agreement on Port services. The Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU (COREPER) adopted an agreement on Wednesday 29 June on the “Port services” directive, as part of the inter-institutional trialogue two days earlier (see EUROPE 11582). This directive aims to make port services management more efficient and transparent. The agreement, however, is very different from the Commission's initial proposal (see EUROPE 11409). The Council is keen to see the directive adopted before the end of the year. (PH)
