What the treaty says on member state withdrawal from EU

Brussels, 24/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - Article 50 in the Treaty explains, without entering into detail, the process for a member state withdrawing from the European Union.

This provision was introduced with the ratification of the currently applicable Lisbon Treaty.
