09/06/2016 (Agence Europe) - Those responsible for Tel Aviv attack must face justice, EU stresses. On Thursday 9 June, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service called for those responsible for the Palestinian terrorist attack on a Tel Aviv market, the previous evening, to be brought to justice. The attack, during which the perpetrators fired on civilians, left at least four people dead and a dozen others injured. “Those who praise this attack must be condemned”, the spokesperson added in her press release. The two men responsible for the attack, who are believed to be Palestinian cousins from Yatta, south of Hebron, have been arrested and the deputy leader of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismaïl Haniyeh, congratulated them on their actions. As a reprisal, the Israeli authorities have announced the deployment of hundreds of extra soldiers in the West Bank and the suspension of entry permits for Ramadan for 83,000 Palestinians. (CG)
