27/05/2016 (Agence Europe) - Green investments will be at the heart of European Green Week. "Investing in a greener future" is the theme of European Green Week organised by the European Commission on Monday 30 May - Friday 3 June, in Brussels. The aim of this international meeting is to raise public awareness about the challenges involved in the EU's environmental policy and its legislation that seeks to pave the way for Europe's green low carbon economy and its efficient use of resources that help to create jobs. Monday will focus on the advantages of investing in Europe's greenest cities to help enhance the quality of urban life; on Tuesday, the focus will be on green investments in the countryside; on Wednesday, funding requirements; Thursday, investments in the oceans and Friday, Greening the global financial system as a means of investing in sustainable development.
