European Parliament criticises opacity surrounding infringement proceedings

Brussels, 26/05/2016 (Agence Europe) - The members of the European Parliament have complained to the European Commission about the limited access the European Parliament has to information regarding pre-litigation and infringement proceedings, in an own-initiative report on non-tariff barriers to trade in the single market, which was adopted by the EP on Thursday 26 May (470 votes in favour, 131 votes against and 30 abstentions).
